Depending on the age and the terroir of the wine, we produce:
- demi-sec (semi dry wine ) over “aubuis” (argillaceous land) - parcelle de
- sec (dry wine) over the “perruches” (flint clay) - parcelle Les Dupinières
- moelleux (soft wine) for the old vine planted over the “perruches” by my father and my grandfather - parcelle de La Belle Croix.
The Groslot, a classic varietal of Azay le Rideau, is the rosé wine of the Maison Rouge lot from Our red wine, the AOC Touraine, comes from grapevine grown over cabernet franc, with some vine stock of cabernet sauvignon (my father whim) over the perruches de
BIO (organic farming) winemaker, I grow my grapevine without any synthetic inputs. I work mechanically and manually the land (with a home made hydraulic inter-vine hoe) to prevent the development of weed, the evaporation and air the soil.
To protect my vine from the mildew and the powdery mildew, I use natural inputs: copper and sulphur.
